PARADE TIPS FOR SPECTATORS:
- Near fleishmann/ south of coastland center
(parade beginning) you will get more of the hands on experience as the Swamp Buggy volunteer staff and CCSO is on the ground “staging.” - Per the City of Naples
website US-41 is closed from 8am-12pm. - Arrive Early
8–9am to avoid traffic from road closures (US-41 in both directions) - Bring folding chairs
umbrellas and wagons to carry them. (Think bring your beach set up) “mini-tailgating” – cook breakfast. Ride your bicycle. - Bring
a bag for candy/swag.
- Middle of the route
along the median is where the “locals” gather with lawn chairs. - Suggested viewing
from close by your favorite restaurant, grab a bite to eat while you watch the parade or dine in after. - Parade staging
is located at the Coastland Center food court and Macys parking lots, as well as Publix and Marshalls. Parking is not recommended in these areas. - Immediately following the parade
buggies are headed to the Florida Sports Park for testing and tuning to prepare for racing on the following day. - Pet friendly event
– one year we were lucky enough to have a pet goat in attendance.
